It's Raining Numbers

Share

Try using this bulletin board during a weather or spring unit. Pre-cut 20 raindrop shapes and laminate them. On ten raindrops, write number words. On the other ten drops, write the matching numerals. Post the numeral drops on the bulletin board. At the bottom of the bulletin board, fasten a laminated envelope in which you have placed the ten word drops and an answer key. Staple a large pre-cut umbrella onto your bulletin board and add the headline "It's Raining Numbers." Use pushpins to attach the word drops onto the bulletin board next to its appropriate numeral drop. Students will use the answer key to check themselves. Note: This activity can easily be adapted for practicing a wide variety of other skills.
