Ohio teacher Aimee McCracken has a unique method of creating groups for cooperative-learning activities in her third-grade class. She cuts apart comic strips and passes them out to students, who then must walk around the room to find the rest of their comic strips. The completed strips create teams. "This activity is an easy way to create groups," says McCracken. "The kids think it's fun, so there are no complaints."
