Book Report Makeover: Comic Books!


Each week, Education World offers a new idea to help you "make over" boring book report formats. If you're looking for a way to spice up book reports -- and truly engage students in reading -- you've come to the right place. Check out this week's makeover idea

Students turn books into comic books.

Encourage students to rewrite a book, or part of a book, in comic-book format. Remind students to include comic-style illustrations and dialogue bubbles. When the comics are completed, students might share them with other classrooms.
