REVIEW:
The Cultural Arts Resources for Teachers and Students (CARTS) Web site is sponsored in part by the National Task Force for Folk Arts in Education. The site was created to build relationships between school and community, to serve as a clearinghouse for resources related to folklore and traditional arts, and to offer an interactive area for educational events and workshops. Users will find online publications about everyday art, and information on teaching culture and folk arts in the classroom. The site will soon include information on a project for the Mid-Atlantic States in which teachers team with a folklorist to develop folklore-related projects for classrooms. Some of the site is still under development but it is a good place to look for examples.
