REVIEW:
School psychologists gather information about students experiencing academic or behavioral difficulties via tests and information from teachers and parents. The psychologists then help determine if a student is eligible for special education services. Psychologists deal with learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and developmental delays. In addition, they have experience and knowledge in crisis intervention, behavioral management techniques, and state and federal special education regulations. This Web site was created to provide background about the profession and to present resources for educators, parents, and others dealing with some of the issues listed above. Currently, no sections are set up on the site for professionals to communicate with their peers, but other users will find the information here useful.
