REVIEW:
Looking for a way to motivate your students to write more and better compositions? This online publishing site may be just what you need. Writers' Window accepts poetry, reviews, research papers, and short stories that meet the submission guidelines. Then others can read and respond to it. The site is divided into six major areas: Write a Story, Write a Review, Write a Poem, Join a Continuous Story, Read Published Stories, and Research a Topic. Each section includes prompts to get students started. They can write their own poems, stories, or reviews, or they can join an ongoing story and write what will happen next. There is also an archive of finished stories. Published Writing includes archives of recent and not-so-recent submissions in each category.
