REVIEW
Food Force offers information and resources to anyone interested in learning more about or helping combat world hunger. Included is an interactive world hunger map, a blog about world hunger, and a pressroom with images and articles as well as an email newsletter for updates on how WFP is working to eliminate world hunger. Educators will particularly find the site to be helpful in teaching students about the problem and what they can do to help. The downloadable Food Force game simulates the implementation of a humanitarian relief program. Comprised of 6 mini-games or missions, the game takes young players from an initial crisis assessment through to delivery and distribution of food aid, with each sequential mission addressing a particular aspect of this challenging process. The teachers section provides lesson plans and ideas for using the game as a classroom tool..
