Career Voyages
High schoolers will want to see this info on high-growth careers.
GRADE LEVEL: 9-12

http://www.careervoyages.gov/index.cfm

CONTENT:

The U.S. Department of Labor and the U. S. Department of Education collaborated to create this site to provide information on “high growth, in-demand occupations along with the skills and education needed to attain those jobs”.

SITE DESIGN:

The site is organized into four areas: students, parents, career changers, and career advisors. Users may explore the site by following the links to these four areas on the main page and top of subsequent pages or explore by industry category through the links on the left side of the page. The bottom navigation menu takes users to educational opportunities. There is also a short video available on how to navigate the site.

REVIEW:

Users can learn where to get started, which industries are growing, how to qualify for a good job and what how to prepare for the job as well as how to pay for the education. Included are career videos, tools and technology, career links, a document library, hot careers, and a what’s new section.
