REVIEW:
The National Women's Hall of Fame is a membership organization that was founded in 1969 in Seneca Falls, New York, where the Women's Rights movement was born more than a century earlier, with the 1848 Women's Rights Convention. The Hall of Fame recognizes and honors accomplishments of American women who have made important contributions to society. Since its beginning, the organization has inducted hundreds of distinguished women. There is a diverse selection of living and non-living subjects from Abigail Adams and Sacagawea to more contemporary women such as Hillary Rodham Clinton and Sandra Day O'Conner. Biographical sketches and photographs are provided for each inductee. Visitors can nominate an outstanding American woman for induction to the Hall of Fame. There is also a special place on the site, Book of Lives and Legacies, where visitors to the site can honor women of achievement and accomplishment in their own lives.
