Astronomy for Kids
Easy to use site – great coverage of the topic through middle school.

CONTENT:
Astronomy for Kids is a good general astronomy site for kids or anyone who is a budding astronomer regardless of age.
SITE DESIGN:
The site has a simple easily navigated format. Links to the major areas of the site are in the top menu bar as well as the main area of the homepage. A sitemap and site index are available. Users can adjust the text size for easy reading. Advertisements are present.
 

REVIEW:
Looking for information for a science report? Or just interested in astronomy? Whatever your purpose, you'll find what you need to know about astronomy at this site. Topics include stars, sky maps, planets, sky wonders, and constellations. Included is a section for beginners and postcards to send to your friends. Visitors to the site can find out what is going on in the sky this month complete with maps and charts of the current month's sky highlights. Explore our planetary neighborhood by clicking on each of the nine planets for quick facts as well as more in-depth information. Learn to identify some of the most well known constellations in the night sky with maps, charts and general times that you may see them. Some of the most fascinating things in the universe such as lunar eclipses, solar eclipses and meteor showers are explored in the Sky Wonders section. Beginners will find information on becoming a skilled observer and the tools you may need.
