Super NASA site focused on the science research conducted by NASA missions.
Grade Level: 3-5, 6-8, 9-12

CONTENT:
Science@NASA disseminates information about Earth Science and various expeditions and discoveries. Included are educational resources for children to learn about the Earth-sun system, solar system and the universe.
SITE DESIGN:
This high tech site from NASA is well organized and easily navigated. Content is divided into six areas that are accessed from links on the main page of the site. Macromedia Flash Player and QuickTime are needed.
 

REVIEW:
This site will be of interest to teachers and students as well as the general public. Visitors can explore the three missions; Earth-Sun System, Solar System, and Universe or click on all missions to retrieve an alphabetical list of the missions in all three categories. The incredible amount of multimedia includes high quality photographs, MPEG and QuickTime movies, audio, animations, and interactive viewers. Current News Stories offers the latest news updates on many earth science topics such as stopping the suicide spiral, natural hazards, the Titanic Quilt and more. The vision for the future includes information, photos, video and animations of NASA's new spaceship as well as other planned explorations. Students will want to check out the "For Kids Only" section where they can learn about the solar system, the universe and the Sun and Earth through movies, images, puzzles, games and more. Included is a listing of education products for educators.
