The release of the 2016 SAT Suite of Assessments has revealed a wealth of knowledge about the SAT-related assessments administered in the 2015 school year.

The SAT Suite of Assessments, which launched in 2015, includes the new SAT, PSAT/NMSQT®, PSAT 10™, and PSAT 8/9™ and data on the 6.7 million test takers that took one of the aforementioned.

According to the results, a new partnership between Khan Academy and College Board has resulted in 10 percent fewer students paying for SAT prep; College Board says students in nearly half of U.S. high schools are logging on onsite for productive practice.

College Board’s partnership with Khan Academy was created to ensure that the country's students can access test prep materials regardless of where they’re from and what familial income they were born into.

Other interesting findings from the latest results include the number of states that now administer the SAT during the school day.

12 states and the District of Columbia administered the 2015-2016 SAT during a school day last year, while 13 states and the District of Columbia are expected to administer the test on a school day in 2016-2017.

"We're seeing great momentum working with states and districts to create a pipeline for students to become college ready," said Cyndie Schmeiser, chief of assessment for the College Board in a press release.

"We are providing educators with information that better equips them to identify students who are falling behind and allows them to intervene and differentiate instructional work much earlier in high school and middle school.”
