Eight Math Apps for Grades K-4

Once children starts school its important to introduce them to technology early. When they are learning difficult subjects, using technology can be helpful. With tablets, iPads and other technological devices in the classroom, introducing students to games and other apps can help them learn tough subjects, such as mathematics. Here are 8 math apps for grades K-4. 

  1. Kids Math: With this app, children can learn addition and subtraction with combinations of single digit numbers. The app has a score board in the corner where players can keep track of their right and wrong answers. 
  2. Einstein Math Academy: Math Academy features mini games for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with stickets for award collection. There are multiple game modes, time trial mode, three levels, and a fun interface. 
  3. Mathmateer: With this app, students can attempt to accomplish 56 different math missions, including numbers, fractions, decimals, counting, telling time, shapes, patterns, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square roots, and more. 
  4. Park Math: This app offers math activities for preschool, kindergarten, and first grade. With this game, kids can learn early math concepts based on Common Core State Standards. At Park Math, students can learn numbers, counting, addition, subtraction, greater than/less than, patterns, and sorting. 
  5. Bugs and Buttons: This app engages children through intriguing game play through 18 activities where they can receive achievement stamps, and more. Bugs and Buttons offers critical learning in counting, fine motor skills, path finding, patterns, tracking, sorting, and more. 
  6. Marble Math Junior: Marble Math is an engaging way to practice mental math. Concepts include shape recognition, matching, sequencing number values and ordinals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, counting money, and telling time. 
  7. Todo Math: With this app, children can play up to 20 multi-level games including counting, quick adding, quick subtraction, days and weeks, train time, patterns, and many more. Students can also participate in missions, or free choice. 
  8. Pet Bingo: With Pet Bingo, kids will learn and practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, measurement, and geometry. The game is aligned with Common Core, and the game includes educational hints from teachers for students to understand difficult concepts.
