A IS FOR ANTI-VIRUS: TAKE CARE WITH E-MAIL
Avoid opening e-mails
- that have odd or nonsensical subject lines.
- that have many grammatical errors or use stilted language.
- from senders you don't know.
Avoid opening attachments
- from unknown senders.
- that you weren't expecting.
- that end in .exe -- unless you're sure you know what it is.
When in doubt about an e-mail, delete the message and e-mail the sender (if you know him or her) to learn whether the e-mail was legitimate.
See the last page of this tutorial for further virus resources, or e-mail your questions to the Talking Tech message board!
