Lesson Objective: Students will express likes and dislikes in multiple conjugations (I, you, he/she).

Materials: Lined paper and a writing utensil for each student.

Who here has played two truths and a lie?
If students raise their hands to signify that they have, you may call on a volunteer to explain the game.
If not, explain the game [Explanation: Each person comes up with three things about themselves, two are true, and one is a lie. Other people then have to guess which one is a lie and which two are true.]
We are going to play this game, but with likes and dislikes. First, you will write down three "I like…" statements on your paper in Spanish. Two of these things should be true, and one should be a lie. Do not write which is which! You may use the words on the board to help you.
As students are writing, be sure to check around the room for proper verb conjugation.
Now, you will write down three "I do not like…" statements on your paper. Two of these things should also be true, and one should be a lie. Again, do not write which is which! You may use the words on the board to help you here as well.

Pick a partner, and read your three likes to them. Your partner should try to guess which are true and which is a lie. You should tell them which is the lie by saying, "You don't like…" Then, switch places and see if you can guess the other person's truths and lie.
During Pair & Share activity, circulate the room and make sure students use the proper verb conjugations and play the game while speaking to each other only in Spanish.
Now, read your three dislikes to your partner. Your partner should try to guess which are true and which is a lie. You should tell them the lie by saying, "You like…" Then, switch places and see if you can guess the other person's truths and lie.

If there is time for multiple rounds, have students switch pairs and work with different people. Be sure to leave 15 minutes at the end of class for the whole group wrap-up and exit ticket.
Let's come back together as a group. Is there anyone that would like to share their list of likes with the class? You will listen to the list, and just like you did with your partners, tell me which one is the lie by saying what he/she dislikes. Make sure you are using proper verb conjugation!
Pick a volunteer to share their list and have students who did not partner with them take turns guessing the lie until someone gets it right. You may repeat this process multiple times with different students and different lists.

Use an Exit Ticket to assess students' individual ability to utilize skills practiced during the lesson.
Prompt: Write one like or dislike sentence using each verb form (I like...You like...He/she likes…) with proper conjugation.
