Did you know that earth is closer to the sun at sometimes then at others. If you live north of the equator, Earth will be at it's farthest point from the sun in july. If Earth is far from the sun, why isn’t it cold in July. That’s because of Earths tilt. In July, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted toward the sun. In January, Earth is closer to the sun, but the Northern Hemisphere is tilt away from it. Thats why January is colder than July.
