Students worked hard all week? Do they deserve a special reward for a job well done? This activity will offer students a nice break from structured learning. Adapt it to fit your needs. Have some Friday Fun!
Educator Kimberlee Woodward begins this activity by posing the question, Who can do something really well? After a brief discussion about some of the students' talents, she passes out colored strips of paper and asks students to write down five things they do well, one thing per strip. The lesson continues as she gets students actively involved in building a chain that will serve as a yearlong reminder to students of the talents they possess and the benefits that can result from teamwork.
