President Jefferson's Cipher

DIRECTIONS: November 7, 1805, was a landmark day in the Lewis and Clark Expedition. On that day, Meriwether Lewis penned an entry in his journal. We have turned some of Lewis�s words into two coded messages that appear below. Use President Jefferson�s Cipher to translate Lewis�s journal entries from code to text. Write the decoded entries on the lines below.
