Key to Bug ID (Classes of Arthropods)

INSECTA: three distinct body regions, three pairs of legs, one pair of antenna, may or may not have wings (insects)

ARACHNIDA: head and body fused into a single unit, four pairs of legs, no antennae, no wings (spiders)

CRUSTACEA: two main body parts divided into segments, five to seven pairs of legs, two pairs of antennae, no wings (crustaceans)

MYRIOPODA includes

• DIPLOPODA: cylindrical body, two pair of legs on each segment, short antennae, no wings (millipedes)

• CHILOPODA: flattened body, one pair of legs on each segment, long antennae, no wings (centipedes)
