Tips from Fred Jones's Tools for Teaching

In his soon-to-be-released book Tools for Teaching, Fred Jones offers teachers practical tips for effectively managing classrooms. Among Jones's tips are two fundamental strategies teachers can initiate at the beginning of the school year to manage classroom disruptions and help keep students on task. Those strategies focus on classroom structure and room arrangement.

Jones's other suggestions focus on designing better lessons, offering corrective feedback, setting limits, training kids to be responsible, and providing incentives for diligence and excellence. Those suggestions and many others are included in his new book, Tools for Teaching.
