Full Project Description
This project focuses on interdisciplinary use of the internet which integrates project based learning with simulations or related activities.
Simulations Based Education:
- computer simulation
- sim sheets
- robotics
- internet based research projects
Interdisciplinary Internet Activities:
- activities that focus on using the internet in 20+ ways and include metacognitive activities.
Teachers will have access to a multiple intelligence based alternative assessment to evaluate what your students are learning.
Project Objectives
- Students will explore in depth with technology one or more fields/subjects.
- Students will improve their critical and creative thinking skills through metacognitive activities (self-thinking and planning activities, reflection) with and without the internet and technology.
- Students will create new studies, projects, research papers, presentations and more.
- Student will learn to persevere with technology, that integrates learning in an atmosphere that combats "regurgitation station" (just copying information from the internet) and encourages students to develop many learning skills in the process.
Assessment
E.J.A.W.s (Explorers, Judges, Artists and Warriors) multiple intelligence based alternative assessment sheets will be provided so that students can reflect on and evaluate their learning.
