Are You the Weird Teacher on #MyWeirdTeacher?

From the weird to wacky, amusing to amazing: If we’re being completely honest, those that enter the teaching profession are a…”unique” breed of human.  This fall, The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon has been highlighting some of the more eccentric characters in the teaching profession, encouraging his viewers to share their “weird teacher” stories on Twitter with the hashtag #MyWeirdTeacher.  Eager for more, Education World scoured the social mediasphere and discovered to what lengths teachers will go to engage their students and entertain themselves in the classroom. 

1.  Cruel?  Maybe not.  Unusual?  Absolutely.

2.  This teacher's got "gadgets and gizmos aplenty" in the ol' classroom management tool box.

3.  This is a "reward"?

4.  You may be laughing, but deep inside you "get it", don't you?

5. *flipping through the State Standards, confused*

6.  "Can I go to the bathroom?"  "Have a seat."  "Wait, what?"  "I'll tell you ladle."

7.  We're noticing a trend here...

8.  Chalk it up to short lunch periods?

9.  We all know staff meetings can get a little more than intense.

10.  Of course he did.  I mean, how else would they get here, there, and everywhere?

11.  Well that's one way to discourage classroom participation.

12.  The buzz in the hive was to leave him alone.

13.  Is that how they did it?  Huh.

14.  Queen of Bey, Queen of the UK...Close enough, right? 

15.  We assume this teacher has a very tidy desk.

16.  He moth have noticed a "teachable moment".

17.  And this year's valedictorian is...

18.  Ignore the scientific method.  Chase rainbows.

19.  Did he bring enough for the class?
