Denise Donica completed her Doctor of Health Science and Master of Health Science in occupational therapy at the University of Indianapolis in 2007 and 2005, respectively. She also holds a bachelor of science degree in psychology/criminal justice and occupational therapy from Indiana University. Dr. Donica is an Associate Professor in the Occupational Therapy Department at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Dr. Donica’s focus in clinical practice has been with the pediatric population through school system and outpatient practice. She also has experience using Handwriting Without Tears® via Telehealth. She has been using the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum for almost 15 years and is a Level 1 certified handwriting specialist with the program. She is currently a consultant and National Workshop Presenter in addition to her faculty position. In addition to her faculty position at East Carolina University, she is currently a consultant and National Workshop Presenter for Handwriting Without Tears. She has conducted and published research related to student success and handwriting skills, and she has also presented nationally and internationally on handwriting-related research.

Keith R. Kline received his bachelor of science degree in occupational therapy from Quinninpiac College in Hamden, Connecticut. He has been practicing pediatric occupational therapy in a school setting since September 1999. He currently works in the Coventry Public Schools in Coventry, Rhode Island where he works with all students—especially those with exceptionalities—from the Pre-K to middle school level. He has had over 12 years of experience working with the Handwriting Without Tears® curriculum. He currently uses the Get Set For School® curriculum for his Pre-K students and uses all other Handwriting Without Tears tools and methods to teach his students printing and cursive skills. Recently he has added Keyboarding Without Tears to his repertoire of programs that he uses with his students. He is trained and certified in administering the Print Tool™ evaluation. As a National Workshop Presenter for Handwriting Without Tears, he has provided numerous presentations on the program to teachers, administrators, students, and parents. He also offers private tutoring sessions for those families that wish to help their students improve their handwriting and keyboarding skills.
