Through its program AT&T Aspire, AT&T announced it will be providing educational organizations this school year with $20 million to benefit students and teachers in 26 different states.

AT&T will be supporting specific initiatives with its funding, many having to do with providing students with mobile learning and technology skills for the future.

The company will support specific companies, for instance, that "use mobile technology to provide new educational content and academic support," it said in a statement.

"These organizations include Curriki, where teachers can create and share content, and the Get Schooled 'Text to Help' program that helps answer students' questions about applying to and paying for college."

AT&T will also be supporting organizations that help kids get hands-on work experience in various fields as well organizations that use secure online platforms to connect kids to mentors.

The company will be supporting We Teach Science and iCouldBe, both which provide students with a secure online platform to be connected with mentors. It will also be supporting Communities in Schools and Junior Achievement, which provide students with face-to-face mentoring opportunities.

"Through AT&T Aspire, AT&T drives innovation in education to promote student success in school and beyond. By investing in new tools and solutions that leverage our unique technologies and capabilities, AT&T helps personalize and mobilize learning for students of all ages and backgrounds," the company said.
