Seven Resources for National Nutrition Month

March is National Nutrition Month, and Education World has you covered when it comes to finding the right resources to use in the classroom.

Here are seven websites and resources educators can use in the classroom to teach about National Nutrition Month and encourage them to eat healthier: 

  1. ChooseMyPlate.gov: With this site, teachers can help students eat healthier with lesson plans, activities, printables, healthy eating tips, and more. 
  2. WebDietitians.org: The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics offers educators resources, games and quizzes. Teachers can also access tips for sports and exercise, children's health, and more. 
  3. National Education Association: This resource offers a list of ten teaching guides, lesson plans, online learning games, educational videos, posters, printables, and more. 
  4. EatRight.org: This website offers the latest news on nutrition and resources for kids including recipes, videos, articles, tips for food and fitness, and more. 
  5. Nourish Interactive: With Nourish Interactive, educators can access activities, games, and resources. It also includes activity sheets, articles, printables, tips, and links for teachers to use. 
  6. Nutrition Month Activities: With this article provided by Education World, educators can grab plenty of activities for National Nutrition Month. 
  7. TeachHub.com: In this article TeachHub offers a list of classroom activities including scavenger hunts, daily food logs, food labels, books, and more.
