Considering that they were banned from New York City classrooms, these four teachers aren't doing so bad. Three have made over $1 million each after a decade of not working in classrooms, and another is getting paid over $100,000 a year not to teach. 

The teachers, referred to as "The Foul Four" by nypost.com, faced sexual-misconduct charges, but were unable to be fired due to job protections under state tenure laws. Instead, the teachers now collect a total of $363,271 a year plus pension and health benefits. 

"If we don't have trust for someone to be around students, they shouldn't be a teacher," said Timothy Daly, president of The New Teacher Project, a nonprofit that works with schools. "Thank God we're not putting them back with students, but we are forced to keep paying them indefinitely."
