Summer PD: Six More Affordable eBooks

It is a common misconception that during summer, teachers stop working. Instead, they are going to conferences, looking up teaching ideas on the Internet and more. Reading books is also a great way to enhance professional development over the summer. With access to an iPad or tablet, there are plenty of eBooks available to help boost instruction and build positive relationships with students.

  1. The Everything New Teacher Book: A Survival Guide for the First Year and Beyond by Melissa Kelly: $9.99
    If you're a new teacher, this is the book for you. Get tips and techniques ranging from organizing a classroom and setting ground rules to working with colleagues and dealing with problems in the classroom.
