Relating: Busy Students/Busy Faculty

  • Because I work in a small high school with 120 students, we are busy with many events everyday. Here is a sample of how busy our students have been in the past two weeks! Please don't let anyone tell my students that they can't do it all! Let's remember that young people are indeed amazing! I admire and respect my students! They are amazing!
  1. 1. Production of Annie the musical with scores of students in scores of roles
  2. 2. Pi Day celebration and fundraiser for the Math Club and Honor Society to go to the National Mu Alpha Theta convention in June and these kids tutoring and reading to the little ones!
  3. 3. Constitution Club studying Bakke case for debates as part of the Bill of Rights Institute grant to my students
  4. 4. Painting and organizing the first ever Teaching Student Art Gallery with over $20,000 in donated artifacts ready for an openingshow in three weeks
  5. 5. Celebrating the C-Span winning video of a national contest with over 2300 participants and we came in third place in our East Coast Division
  6. 6. Boys and Girls in State finals for basketball with full school support
  7. 7. Regional Champions in Odyssey of the Mind contest and moving on to State Contest soon
  8. 8. Preparation for two missions trips during spring vacation; one out-of-country and one to New York City
  9. 9. Strings preparing for their invitational European tour
  10. 10. Kids taking 14 AP courses in a high school of 120 kids!
  11. I admire and respect my students!
