Materials Needed

Reading Favorites Checklist

Lesson Plan

This activity can help teachers and librarians determine which kinds of books to purchase for the school library. Give each student a copy of the Reading Favorites Checklist. Next to each category of book, the student will check (only) one column.

Extension Activity:
Have students create graphs to show the class/school tallies that result from this survey. Students might use a free online tool, Create a Graph, to build their graphs.
