Do test scores count for students who have attended school for a few months?

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION:

No. In order for a student's test scores to be counted for adequate yearly progress (AYP) purposes under the No Child Left Behind Act, a student must have attended the school for a full academic year (as defined by the state). Students who have not attended a school for a full academic year are expected to take the assessment, but their scores will not be included in AYP calculations.
