“Managing our school Web site is done with a passion to provide our students, staff, parents, and community
members the clearest and most thoughtful content,” reports the site manager in applying for a Cool School recognition.
And certainly, this friendly-looking, easy-to-navigate site is a great framework through which to provide clear and
thoughtful content.
The home page has a left navigation while the rest of the site switches to a top navigation scheme, giving the home
page a great amount of space for a large slide show featuring pictures about school news. On the channel home pages,
that left space is given over to colorful and engaging icons that call out special features on the site. The red,
white, and blue color scheme is bright and obviously patriotic, but not over-done.
It’s understandable that the site manager reports a renewed energy around the school community due to the great
work that has gone into this site! That’s what a great site can do for a school or district!
And so, congratulations, Rich Central High... You are a COOL SCHOOL!
