The History of the Supreme Court
Tastefully designed site, sponsored by New York Life insurance, written by teachers.
Grades: 6-8, 9-12
The History of the Supreme Court is a site funded by New York Life that complements a major television series that will air on PBS in January and February of 2007. It explores the history and impact of the nation’s highest court. Included are lesson plans and other curriculum resources for the classroom.

vPlants (Virtual Plants)
Info on 120,000 plants, including 50,000 images – all on your computer screen.
Grades: 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, Professional
The Morton Arboretum, the Field Museum of Natural History, and the Chicago Botanic Garden collaborated to develop this online database of specimen data and digital images of a broad range of plants and fungi found in the Chicago region, which includes twenty-four counties in four states surrounding the southern tip of Lake Michigan.

The Presidential Timeline of the Twentieth Century
Clicks to the Chiefs – an interactive timeline covering 12 presidents.
Grades: 6-8, 9-12
The site was developed by the Learning Technology Center in The University of Texas at Austin College of Education with a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. It tells the story of twelve Presidents from Herbert Hoover to Bill Clinton through a selection of digitized assets from the collections of the twelve Presidential Libraries of the National Archives.
