CONTENT:
The National Institute for Urban School Improvement is dedicated to supporting urban educational communities that are implementing mainstream inclusion programs for students with disabilities. The site includes an excellent library of resources, a discussion forum, events calendar, and newsletter.

AESTHETICS:
The site features a nice color scheme and cheerful graphics.

ORGANIZATION:
A handy navigational bar is available at the left. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view many of the files and publications.

REVIEW:
Inclusion is the subject of much discussion in education circles. The National Institute for Urban School Improvement provides a support base for schools implementing and/or transitioning into inclusion programs. The site offers a searchable library with abstracts on a wide range of resources related to the subject -- including books, articles, videos, and web sites. Also available is a series of downloadable publications on relevant subjects such as teacher preparation, professional development, and the importance of strong collaborative relationships between colleagues. Educators can participate in a discussion forum or subscribe to the monthly E-News. Special Educators should definitely bookmark this site!
