Just Say No!
http://www-personal.umd.umich.edu/~jobrown/justsayno.html
GRADE LEVEL: 6-12

CONTENT:
Just say No! is an educational site devoted to teaching drug and alcohol awareness to youth. The site offers a set of projects that students can work on to prevent substance abuse both in the classroom and within the community.

AESTHETICS:
The font is plain and easy to read. There are no graphics.

ORGANIZATION:
The site is one long page with a list of links to other sites. You will need to scroll down through the list to find what you're looking for. All of the links are to outside sites so the user will have to use the browser's back button to return to the site. Bookmarking the site is a good idea.

REVIEW:
ust Say No! was put together by Joan Marie Brown, a middle school teacher in the Dearborn Public School District, Dearborn, MI. The site consists of a short description of 12 different projects that students can work on to promote drug awareness. Many of the projects have very good cross-curriculum ideas that will involve students in educating their community. At the end of the list of projects is a set of research links for students to use in putting their projects together.
