REVIEW:
Teaching Science With The Yo-Yo is exactly that! This integrated five-lesson unit introduces students to the Scientific Method. By the end of the unit students will know how to develop their own hypotheses and create experiments. Students will learn physics concepts related to energy and pendulums. The last lesson, called "Spin Wars," lets students use their knowledge in a contest to throw the longest spinning yo-yo. The lessons require each student to have a yo-yo and the sponsor of the site, Duncan, has a special educator's offer for acquiring them. This is a great, ready-made site for science teachers to use to peak their students' interest in the world of physics.
