This website uses the concept of ballooning to present the science concepts of gases, density, pressure, buoyancy, and heat(temperature).

Each section of the Web site is available from the main page as well as from each section's page. Each of the areas is well marked and links within the sections are located within text paragraphs.

REVIEW:
This Web site was set up to use an idea students can get excited about -- hot air ballooning -- to teach ideas they might not be as excited about -- the basic principles of buoyancy, properties of gases, and temperature. The information is mainly for upper elementary and middle school students and teachers and is presented as passages of text with links to detailed information on the topics. The site does not have lesson plans but does include some forms that calculate formulas. Air Travelers could be used as a starting point for lessons on the science concepts it covers as well as an example of science education on the Internet.
