AESTHETICS:
The layout is pleasing, and origami-related graphics decorate many of the pages.

ORGANIZATION:
This site can be slow to load and requires a Java-enabled browser and a special Midi plug-in. Navigational buttons are provided at the tops of the pages.

REVIEW:
This well-designed site on the art of origami received the 1999 ThinkQuest Junior Best of Contest Award! Way to go, kids! Teachers will love the classroom applications the site provides, including lesson plans and ideas for using origami thematically across the curriculum. Users are encouraged to contribute to the origami poetry page, which features poems from a wide range of authors. The site's Peace page is inspired by the book Sadako and the Thousand Cranes, by Eleanor Coerr. The young authors of the site are sure that after visiting Pieces 'n Creases, people will have difficulty resisting the urge to start folding any bits of square paper that come their way. The kids may be right!
