This is the Web site for the American School Counselor Association. Users can find information on membership in the association, as well as school counseling resources.

Most of the site is text. Users will find some graphics on menus and headers. The spacing and alignment of text makes it easy to read.

ORGANIZATION:
The site index page lists all sections of the site in outline format. Viewers will find a navigation menu at the bottom and left side of each page. The left-side menu provides a colored dot that highlights the section currently in use. Most pages require scrolling.

REVIEW:
The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) is a membership-based organization for professional school counselors. The Web site provides information for professional development, school counseling programs, and counseling practices. Users can find ASCA's Ethical Standards for School Counselors and other articles on ethical issues. The links to outside resources include topics such as K-12 school counseling centers, mental health, career and
college information, and government resources. This is a good "meeting place" for school counselors and one where they can find many handy resources in one place.
