Positively Poetry
http://advicom.net/~e-media/kv/poetry1.html

A CONTENT:
This page is dedicated solely to poetry and prides itself on being completely kid safe. All poems, references and links are screened for content.

B AESTHETICS:
The main page uses decorative dividers to separate sections and cute graphics to designate particular areas of information. Some of the sections are completely text-based and span the entire screen.

B+ ORGANIZATION:
The poetry is divided by country and the country names are listed in long sentences as links. Each country section has a title stating the name and then lists the poems submitted. These can be read by scrolling down the page. At the bottom of each page is a link to the homepage.

REVIEW:
This website was created by a 14 year old, interested in poetry and unable to find what she was looking for on the internet. Positively Poetry allows K-12 students to submit poetry to the site, either their own writings or just poems they happen to really like. Submissions come from all over the world and are designated by country when posted. Each month, the author selects an "Editor's Choice" poem and the site is constantly updated. Occasionally themes are introduced and viewers are asked to write and submit poems based on the topic. Additionally, the author has posted some of her own poetry. Teachers and students are encouraged to work on poems as a class project and to submit the results to the site. The author offers advice and help for such projects. This is a great place to spend time in school and out. English and literature teachers could really interest their students by generating a class project based on this site. Since it was created by a student, the precedent has been set.
