Go Math offers free online assistance with mathematics for k-12 students and their parents. It includes online tutors that will answer questions and give step-by-step solutions, games, tutorials, and interactive tools. There are also products for sale but the free area is well worth a visit. 12/15/03

AP Central
The 4-1-1 on Advanced Placement.
Grades: 9-12, Advanced, Professional
AP Central was created in association with the College Board as a resource for AP professionals but the information would be useful to students who are taking the courses and their parents as well. Registration is required for full use but it is free. 12/12/03

KartOO
An artificial-intelligence genie searches search engines for you.
Grades: 6-8, 9-12, Advanced
KartOO is a metasearch tool that searches many different search engines and returns results as a "graphic map of information, demonstrating visually the relationship between websites and related topics." 12/10/03

Face to Face -- Stories from the Aftermath of Infamy
Comparing Japanese American and Muslim American experiences post-Pearl Harbor and post-9/11.

Face-to-Face explores the similarities in the thoughts and emotions of Japanese Americans after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the Arab and Muslim Americans after the 9/11 tragedy. "These are real stories of fear, anger, hatred, loyalty and trust." 12/05/03
