Education World first visited this site in 1996, and the site has had considerable updates since that time. Adventures in Education (AIE) has invaluable information online to assist students, parents, teachers, and counselors in preparing for and financing higher education.

The site was developed by the Royal Geographical Society in partnership with the British Antarctic Survey and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. It offers a wealth of resources and information for teaching and learning about the continent of Antarctica.

We All Use Math Everyday
An NCTM and Texas Instruments site that complements the CBS show Numb3rs.
Grades: 6-8, 9-12
The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics has collaborated with Texas Instruments to create this site that complements the CBS television show “Numb3rs”. Although the site complements the television show, the lessons can be used as stand-alone lessons in the classroom. “The program was specifically designed," it says on the site, "to help students (and their parents) realize how relevant math is to everyday activity and understand the importance the subject plays in their future success.”

SoundJunction provides a comprehensive collection of music from all genres. You can take music apart and find how it works, create music yourself, find out how other people make music and how they perform it, learn about musical instruments and look at the backgrounds of different musical styles.

The Math Worksheet Site
A nice, quickly navigated collection of math worksheets, plus more for subscribers.
Grades: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, Professional, Parents
Math Worksheet site.com is an online math worksheet generator. Users can generate an endless number of math worksheets in .pdf format. Part of the site requires a subscription but there is plenty of free material to warrant a visit.

NetSmartzKids
Online safety is a good (and now a fun) thing: games for kids.
Grades: K-2, 3-5
NetSmartz is an interactive, educational safety resource from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Boys and Girls Clubs of America. It offers age appropriate games, activities, videos, music and more that teaches young children how to be safer online.

A Book In Time
A fast-growing site by a group of history teachers.
Grades: Professional, Parents
A Book in Time was written by teacher Carol Henderson for other teachers. It is a resource to help history teachers find all kinds of extracurricular resources to enrich their classes including crafts, timelines, maps and more.
