Profile of a Scientist
http://www2.jsasd.k12.pa.us/mhopple/ScientistPBL/
GRADE LEVEL: 9-12

CONTENT:
Profile of a Scientist is a project, developed by science teacher Mary Hopple, to make students aware of the roles inventors and scientists have played in society.

AESTHETICS:
The site has a simple layout. The graph paper background makes the text a little difficult to read.

ORGANIZATION:
There are three major sections: Student Page, Resources, and Teacher Page, all accessible from the main page. Each subsequent page has a navigation menu at the bottom to move between the sections.

REVIEW:
This site contains everything a user needs to teach the cross-curricular, nine-week unit on inventors and scientists. Student Page includes individual and group assignments, instructions, and links to needed resources. Teachers will find objectives, implementation suggestions, and sample rubrics for evaluation. If this topic fits your curriculum, it is an option that could be easily adapted to your particular class.
