The Solution Site
https://www.thesolutionsite.com/
GRADE LEVEL: Professional

CONTENT:
The West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation developed the Solution Site. It is a collection of lesson plans created and evaluated by teachers.

AESTHETICS:
High-quality photos and cleverly used JavaScript lend this site eye appeal.

ORGANIZATION:
The site is set in frames, so the navigation menu remains in the left window while the information appears in the main window.

REVIEW:
The Solution Site has a database of unit plans for every major subject area. Users can search the database by grade level, subject area, standards, and keywords. Each unit has five lesson plans that include cross-curricular activities and an assessment rubric aligned to national standards. The lessons focus on problem solving and collaboration, giving students the opportunity to participate in active learning. Teachers created and submitted the lessons, which a panel of expert teachers then evaluated. Users may provide feedback on the units they use in their classrooms.
