REVIEW:
Math may turn off some students, but many students have an interest in some form of athletics. Activities at Mathletics may link students' sports interests with math learning. The site provides examples of how math is used in such athletic activities as baseball, basketball, bowling, and football. The step-by-step lessons were created by future teachers at the University of Richmond. Mathletics is a great site to jog a teacher's thinking about ways to apply math skills to real-world situations, making math more meaningful to students.
