A Guided Tour of the Visible Human
http://www.madsci.org/~lynn/VH/
GRADE LEVEL: 9-12, Advanced

CONTENT:
This site, based on the digitized images of the Visible Human Project, tours the human body using animation and images "to demonstrate planes of section and other introductory concepts in anatomy."

AESTHETICS:
The Web site itself has a simple layout with mostly text links, but the animations and images used are fascinating.

ORGANIZATION:
Links are well defined and easily followed from all pages.

REVIEW:
Get up close and personal with an inside look at the anatomy of the human body. This tour will give students or interested adults the opportunity to find details about any organ in the human body. The images have been annotated and interactively linked so users may click on each organ to learn more. The images are presented as cross sections, so the user can see how each anatomical structure relates to another. An online keyword search is available for locating specific anatomical features.
