April is National Poetry Month and this site provides all the necessary tools and information to celebrate. Visitors to the site can find answers to questions about what National Poetry Month is, and check out celebration highlights and activities happening across the country. Included are a month’s worth of poetry activities and a Poem-A-Day link that allows visitors to have a new poem delivered to their e-mail each day in April. Educators will be delighted with the resources that include curriculum and lesson plans, discussion forums in which users can post strategies for and ask questions about teaching poetry, pedagogical and critical essays about poetry, biographies of hundreds of poets, more than two thousand poems, and an extensive list of links to relevant Web sites.
