http://toxmystery.nlm.nih.gov/

CONTENT
ToxMystery was created by the United States National Library of Medicine to help children ages 7-11 learn about household chemical hazards. Color, graphics, sounds, and animation make learning fun.

This interactive site is available in both English and Spanish. Navigation is simple, with directions narrated by “Toxie,” the cat. A text version of the site also is available.

REVIEW
The ToxMystery allows students to learn about household chemical hazards in an engaging way. Toxie helps students move from room to room finding hazardous spots, clicking, and answering questions. When the game is completed, students can print out a personalized certificate. Parents can find other U.S. government resources on everyday environmental hazards. The section for teachers offers lesson plans developed using the National Science Educational Standards, and include extra activities and resources (a glossary and multiple choice test), and activity pages including word scrambles and match games.
