http://www.gfhandel.org/

CONTENT:
The Web site, as the name suggest, makes information about the life, work and times of famous German composer G.F. Handel (1685-1759) available to the general public as well as scholars and enthusiasts.
SITE DESIGN:
The site contains a large amount of well organized material. The navigation menu is in the left sidebar which is lengthy and needs to be scrolled to be viewed in its entirety. RealPlayer is needed.

REVIEW:
This site is a great resource for anyone interested in learning more about the renowned German composer, G.F. Handel. It contains a short biographical sketch of the man as well as information and reviews about the latest recordings of his works. A complete discography catalogs his operas, oratories, dramas and odes. Visitors to the site can also find lists of upcoming concerts, festivals, radio/TV, conferences and workshops. More can be learned about Handel, the man and his times through the chronology that is divided into time periods, the anecdotes that contain quotations, stories, and excerpts from letters, and the potpourri section that contains images of trading cards, coins, busts, portraits, statues, etc. all relating to Handel. Additionally, a chronology of his major works, and a composition catalog of all his compositions is also available along with interviews of various artists and conductors and a complete section on his most famous work, The Messiah.
