REVIEW:
Road Sign Math provides teachers and students material for problem solving. Users have photographed road signs and use all of the numbers on the signs to create equations. There are many examples displayed in the Scoreboard, where the signs and equations have been submitted and rated according to how interesting they are. The rules for Road Sign Math are available on the site. The photographs could be used in the classroom with the equations covered to allow students to create their own equations. Alternatively, students could go on a scavenger hunt around their hometown to find interesting signs to share with the class. Students could submit the best signs and equations that they find to the site for publication. This is also a great fun and educational activity for parents to do with their kids on road trips. Parents may also want to scroll down to the bottom of the page and check out the related Web links for more road trip activities. |
