http://www.compadre.org/precollege/index.cfm

CONTENT:
The PhysicsFront is a service provided by the American Association of Physics Teachers. It is supported, in part, by the National Science Foundation. It provides "high quality resources tailored for the teaching of high school physics and physical sciences." Included are lessons, labs, and activities.
SITE DESIGN:
The site is well organized and materials can be found by clicking on any of the four main categories listed in the left side menu and browsed by topic. A site map and search tool is also available offering several options for searching by subject, category, language, type of resource, and grade level. Although anyone may search the database, participation requires the user to register an account, which is free and requires only a name and email address.

REVIEW:
The PhysicsFront is a web-based area for teachers of Conceptual, AP and Algebra-based physics as well as teachers of Physics First and Physical Science. The materials have been selected as being quality resources for enriching the high school physics experience. The resources are grouped into four categories: conceptual physics, algebra-based physics, ap/calculus-based physics and physical sciences K-8. Included are hundreds of lesson plans, labs and activities that cover a wide range of topics such as measurement, motion, forces, momentum, energy, heat and temperature, magnetism, circuits, wave energy, electrostatics, electricity and astronomy. Additionally, a section for new teachers offers resources for inquiry learning, content, simulations, events in the history of Physics and advice from veteran physics teachers. A section for experienced teachers is also available with the free registration.
